POLICE UPLIFT - BUILDING A REPRESENTATIVE WORKFORCE

The Deep Insight team has been very busy in December, delivering Building a Representative Workforce ILM CPD events, as part of the ongoing NPCC Police Uplift Programme.

To begin with we were at New Scotland Yard and Peel Centre in Hendon delivering inclusion and diversity courses to Metropolitan Police Outreach and City of London Police teams. Next we also presented to the South East Region Police Uplift team during a day at Gorse Hill in Surrey.

Director Kul Verma, together with Diversity & Inclusion Delivery Lead Abid Sardar made good use of Deep Insight's bespoke resources including our unique Conversation Mats, which as always proved invaluable in inspiring delegates to have insightful and challenging discussions on equality, diversity and inclusion within the force. Subjects also included how to promote greater engagement, the value of strong leadership, and how the Positive Action Programme is vital in building a Force that truly represents the communities it serves.

The days were very successful, with more than 300 delegates taking away valuable knowledge and skills. We received some excellent feedback too.

Janette McCormick is the National lead for Police Uplift programme.
